D2.3 Mid-term Communication and Dissemination Report
BECID has published its Mid-term Communication and Dissemination Report, looking back at the first 15 months of BECID2 and its communication, outreach and engagement activities across Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
The reporting period shows strong progress. By the end of August 2026, BECID and its partners had produced approximately 240 fact-checking publications and 16 Hot Reports, alongside educational resources, campaigns, webinars and extensive participation in professional and public events.
Media and information literacy has been another important focus. Six BaltsTeachMIL webinars have brought together GLAM professionals from across the Baltic States, while BECID has developed 20 educational tools and materials and six public campaigns. Initiatives such as the Propawheel have taken media literacy into libraries, schools, cultural institutions and public events.
BECID representatives have also participated in more than 40 conferences, while activities have ranged from the Resilient Voices: Women & Disinformation conference in Riga to cultural and educational initiatives engaging audiences beyond the expert community.
Another milestone was the launch of BECID’s renewed multilingual website on 24 August 2026, bringing fact-checking, monitoring, research, media literacy, events and project resources together at becid.eu.
Looking ahead, BECID will build on these foundations by strengthening multilingual outreach, continuing its fact-checking, Hot Reports and GLAM activities, and improving how reach, engagement and impact are measured.
After 15 months, the project has established a Baltic-wide communication and dissemination ecosystem connecting fact-checking, investigative journalism, research, media literacy, public engagement and policy outreach.
